Venture Global Achieves Major Milestone with First LNG Cargo from Plaquemines Facility

Venture Global (VG) has reached a significant milestone with the successful loading and departure of its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from the Plaquemines LNG facility. This inaugural commissioning cargo, transported aboard the Venture Global Bayou, one of VG's fleet of nine advanced LNG carriers, is destined for ENBW in Germany. This marks the continuation of VG's strong partnership with Germany, with over 60 LNG cargos delivered since 2022.

The Plaquemines LNG facility, alongside VG’s Calcasieu Pass, stands out as one of the fastest greenfield LNG projects of its size to achieve both production and cargo delivery. This milestone underscores VG’s commitment to accelerating global LNG availability through innovative project execution.

“I am extremely proud of our team whose relentless execution has enabled Venture Global to continue to meet milestones at exceptional speed,” stated Mike Sabel, CEO of Venture Global. “In just five years, Venture Global has built, produced, and launched exports from two large-scale LNG projects—something that has never been done before in the history of the industry.”

This achievement not only highlights VG's capability in delivering large-scale energy projects at unprecedented speeds but also reinforces its pivotal role in strengthening energy security and fostering international energy partnerships.
