President Donald Trump’s Project Freedom launched Monday morning, Middle East time. On day one, Iran fired cruise missiles at the United Arab Emirates, drones at an ADNOC tanker, and small boats and missiles at US Navy ships in the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM said two US-flagged merchant vessels successfully transited. Maersk confirmed one was the Alliance Fairfax. Brent crude closed up nearly 6% at $114.44 per barrel, per CNBC.

By Gosships analysis, the war risk premium is now levered to Iranian narrative speed, not just Iranian capability. The 6% Brent move came on a contested Iranian missile claim that CENTCOM denied within hours. The market priced the Iranian narrative as fact before the denial settled. That is the Day One signal underwriters, traders, and compliance officers should be modeling, not the Alliance Fairfax transit.
